Chestnut Arabian mare. OF Breyer Proud Arabian Mare #840. She was one of my first Breyers! She was purchased by my mother for my 14th(?) birthday from the Toy Box (later Always Collectible) in San Antonio, TX.
Nadiyya
Chestnut fleabitten grey mare. OF Breyer G4 Stablemate "Endurance" Arabian. Hourglass' dam.
Thee Snowghost
White-grey Arabian stallion. OF Breyer "Sahran" #1721, 2014 Flagship stores SR.
Mistmaiden
Breyer "Joy" Proud Arabian Foal #9, glossy variation, produced 1956-60 (so she's anywhere between 55-51 years old). She was an antique store find in spring 2006 in Nebraska City, NE. Hourglass' daughter.
Unnamed
A pair of old plastic G1 Stablemate Arabians in the 5013 (stalllion) and 5014 (mare) bay colorway. These were a Liberty, MO garage sale find along with a shoebox full of other lovely old Stablemates from the seller's childhood collection.
Thoroughbreds
Stop It Ron
Bay Thoroughbred gelding. OF Breyer G1 Stablemate Citation #5020, old plastic. Found in the same lot as the previous Arabians. He has nice mold detail and is likely a very early issue.
The G1 molds were sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker Potteries, and the molds were leased by Breyer Animal Creations for production in plastic in the mid-to-late 1970s. The lease ran out in the early 2000s and the molds seem to have been permanently retired.
Ello Poppet
Chestnut TB mare. OF Breyer G1 TB mare #5026. Rum's dam.
Je Souhaite
Bay Thoroughbred mare. Breyer G2 Thoroughbred, "American Pharoah" #9178.
Northern Raven
Black TB mare. OF Breyer G1 TB mare #5028. Same lot as Ron and the Arabians.
She appears to be one of those 1970s oil crisis-era issues that was cast in recycled tenite plastic, which had a greyish tinge.
Hide The Rum
Chestnut TB colt, OF Breyer G1 TB foal #5072, and Poppet's son.
This mold along with it was hard to find for many years, only issued in three colors from 1975 to 1976 before being reintroduced in new colors in the mid 90s.
