My stock breed herd matriarch! Amazon is a sorrel mare, an Original Finish Breyer Lady Phase #40. This colorway was produced from 1976-1985, because of the dark color and mold detail, I believe this particular model to be a 1976 issue.
Sparrowhawk
Sorrel stallion, OF Breyer Smarty Jones #586. One of Amazon's sons and Anthem's sire.
Even though the original model was sculpted after a real Thoroughbred racing champion, his build is stocky enough to be shown as a Quarter Horse, Paint, or other stock breed. In fact he shows better as that type than as a TB.
Outlaw James
Red dun Foundation-bred stallion. Peter Stone Design-A-Horse 2012 limited edition red dun. Freckles Outlaw's sire.
Riddle
Grulla stallion, OF Peter Stone Ideal Stock Horse "Gigabyte". This was a 1999 special run for the internet mailing list "Haynet" and came in a gloss finish.
Titania's sire.
Copper Chime
Silver bay mare, OF Breyer Treasure Hunt #1212, long tail mold.
Amazon's daughter.
Redtail
Red rabicano roan Foundation-bred stallion. Breyer "Smart Chic Olena" #594
A bay roan filly, and her friend "Bailey" the Fox Terrier (OF Schleich). She is a custom repainted Peter Stone Weanling by myself, with a new mane sculpted in Apoxie artist's epoxy. She was painted using a combination of pastels and acrylics. She is a multi-class winner and Champion in both photo and live showing. c. 2002
Sparrow's Anthem
Chestnut Appendix mare. She is a CM Breyer G2 Stablemate Thoroughbred by my sister Meredith McFadden/Dragon Ridge Studios. Like Titania, she is painted using a combination of chalk pastels and acrylic paint. c. 2010
Freckles Outlaw
Red roan mare, OF Breyer "Bet Yer Blue Boons" #715.
One of Amazon's grand-daughters, and Titania's half-sister. (same dam)
Tabula Rasa
Bay Appendix mare, OF Breyer Rachel Alexandra #1429. Another TB model shown as a QH! This mold actually does show well as a TB, but I was looking for a running QH for Western performance classes like roping, barrel racing, et al.
Orozimbo
Red roan Foundation bred aged stallion. (shown as a 25 y/o) Breyer G4 SM Para Dressage stock horse.
Goshawk
Red rabicano roan Foundation bred aged stallion. (22 y/o) Breyer #721 Offspring of Go Man Go, AQHA Foundation Sire series. Another chestnut based roan QH, I think there might be a pattern here.
Appaloosas
Dry Lightning
Bay blanket stallion, OF Peter Stone "Bright Zip" #9803.
Medina
Grulla/grey blanket mare. Breyer OF Stock Horse Mare, a 1983 Sears Special Run. Napa and Dreamcatcher's dam. I now have the mare and both foal molds, still looking for the matching stallion... (although I probably should get the other two foal variations for the set to be completely complete! :D)
Napa
My first Breyer, a grey/grulla blanket filly, she is an OF Breyer Action Stock Foal #238.
Yyes, she's missing an ear, poor thing.
Dreamcatcher
Grey/grulla blanket colt, an OF Breyer Standing Stock Horse Foal in a special run color for Sears, Christmas 1983.
This run came in three variations, star face, bald/white face, and solid face, which is what this model is. The solid face is the rarest variation.
Son of Medina, and Napa's brother.
Other pure, partbred, and grade stock breeds
September Shadows
Bay Colorado Rangerbred mare, OF Breyer #1132. Around 2007 Breyer retooled the Lady Phase mold to have two new tail variations, a long tail, and a shorter "swish" tail as shown here. Hopefully they'll retool her mane and parts of her face as well, the mold is showing a bit of wear.
Xanthe
Dunskin Friesian x Mustang x QH mare. G3 Friesian #5955.
Levi
Silver bay partbred stallion. Breyer "Brandywine" 2002 Show Special. Levi is half QH, half Morgan/Belgian.
